How to create a Spotify-like music service in minutes
It’s also lacking a truly universal app, and a way to make it work across devices.
Now, Spotify is getting that back.
In a blog post published Tuesday, Spotify founder Daniel Ek says that it’s finally getting around to creating a Spotify app for Apple devices.
It will be available for the next couple of weeks, after which Ek hopes to roll it out to the public.
In the post, Ek writes that he’s working on the new Spotify app, which will be called “Spotify for Apple.”
It will include new features like streaming to other devices, and will have the ability to add and delete tracks.
The app will also allow you to control what songs you listen to.
For now, Ek says the Spotify app will be limited to “only a handful of people,” but he’s looking to expand to a wider audience over time.
Spotify will be able to serve up music on a variety of devices and platforms, including smartphones, tablets, TVs, and more.
Spotify has been working on making its app compatible with both Android and iOS devices for some time now.
Apple Music is already available for iOS devices and Android tablets, but Ek says it’s just starting to expand the service to other platforms, like the web.
Spotify also is working on a subscription service that will allow you add as many songs as you like to your library.
