Which of these games will you tune into on ESPN this week?
With ESPN’s Sunday Night Football airing this week, there are two key matchups on the slate that could determine who will take home the championship on New Year’s Eve: the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.
As with any NFL game, there’s plenty of drama surrounding the Patriots and Falcons.
The Patriots are coming off a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, and their upcoming bye week will mean they can rest up for their next matchup with the Falcons.
The Falcons have yet to lose a game this season and look to continue their winning streak against the New York Jets.
In a matchup that is likely to be a thriller, the Falcons will need to beat the Patriots in order to claim the Super Bowl.
The Patriots have only lost three games this season, while the Falcons have only played one other team.
So, what are the odds?
ESPN’s Vegas Lines have the Patriots at 45.7 percent and the Falcons at 43.3 percent, giving the Patriots a 7.5 percent chance to win the Super Cup while the two teams are tied at 6.5% apiece.
The difference is that the Falcons are currently in the process of drafting quarterback Matt Ryan, who has a 55.9 percent chance of making the Super Game.
The Falcons currently hold the tiebreaker, with New England at 5.5%.
The Patriots will play a game against the Seattle Seahawks at 6 p.m.
EST on ESPN.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and can be seen on ESPN3.
The Seahawks have a bye the following week, which gives them a bye from Jan. 5 to March 17.
